The multicriteria knowledge database, which has contained the technical work of the first action of the project, is now fully established. It is a key stage to ensure that the tool will be able to perform a detailed environmental diagnose to support the railway infrastructure construction companies to be more sustainable and it is the result of the joint efforts by CARTIF, IK Ingeniería and VIAS during the first year of the project. It includes a complete knowledge of the project units to be incorporated within the tool and the collection of the relevant environmental variables and indicators in the planning phase of the railway infrastructure construction works.
